        Good location. Very clean and welcoming professional staff. Bed was very comfortable and linen a high quality.

        Room had a funny odour and was very tired. Bathroom needed re grouting and walls were scuffed. We will not visit again as this grand hotel needs it's rooms updating to match up to other accomodation available in york. Disappointed overall.

        I couldn't fault the hotel, the minute we walked into the hotel the staff were so welcoming and friendly, ideal location thoroughly enjoyed our stay would definitiely stay there again.

        Central position within York; also close to station.

        Room - which was supposed to be an 'executive double' - was in need of re-decoration/refurbishment throughout. The same could certainly be said of the bathroom.

        Lovely weekend break, beautiful views and even received a complementary bottle of champagne. Worth the money, ignore the bad reviews.
