        The hotel is a big resort. Very big. It is very spread out. The rooms are nice. Good mix of tropical resort and modern type architecture. Location is good out of Patong. But that is about it. Oh and the drinks between 6pm and 8pm are buy 2 get the third of the same type free. Prices are around 90THB per beer can excluding taxes. The waiting staff are good and generally most had a smile and a good friendly hi to say. There were a couple who had an attitude, but I guess everyone has bad days.

        Right, I tried really hard to like this place. But based on the competition from the other resorts independent or chains, the Hilton as an organisation is just pre historic. Ok so here we go. The internet is chargeable, and like 600 Baht a day! The prices all exclude taxes so you should really add 17% to everything. The beach is not accessible from the hotel without crossing the road, which to me is more inconvenience less of a hotel issue. They charge service charges for the mini bar as well.. I mean the principal is just wrong where there is no service being provided. The big pool by the beach shuts at 7pm. Now the breakfast, which was mediocre. I mean the food was so unappetising that we decided to skip it one day. DOn't get me wrong, it might be a great 3 star breakfast, but the food just was NOT the quality expected from a 5star and a resort at that. It put us off that we decided not to even try the thai and Italian restaurants there. I have actually had smaller breakfasts in Holiday inns, but which were extremely tasty. This was just a collection of bits that to me were all mediocre. The pan cakes and waffles were just sat there in a covered hotcase becoming cardboard every second. The omelette station was the only thing that was good, the other food just sat there in heated dishes. I don't think as a five star resort this was acceptable. The Taxi to the airport from the hotel travel desks costs 1400THB, from the bell boy costs 1200THB but the staff from the hotel beach side access get you the cab for 900-1000 THB. When I told the front staff about this and why they couldnt get us a cab from the beach entrance, they were like 1200 or u can get your own. So we had to take our bags all the way around the pool and down steps and get out own cab from the hotel entrance. It was kind of ridiculous. Also to me as an independent traveller who had self booked, i think the hotel just did not care too much about us. The hotel caters for Bus loads of tourists (on a package tour who stay for a day maybe 2) or conferences where again there is no alternative. So while it is a beautiful green resort the vastness of it means you have to take the tram every now and then. Also as a 5 star, the details are just lost here. I'd also mention here that as a HHonors member, you don't get any points if you book through anywhere but Hiltons own website. As a IHG and starwoods member, I just find this kind of stupidity pre historic. And to put it into perspective, Hilton wanted to charge us SGD283 per night on their website, and we got it for SGD160 per night from an online website.. I've never had points refused on Holiday Inn or starwoods while booking through expedia.

        Great facilities, rooms were very nice and cleaned daily, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast were good. There are shops walking distance and eateries close if you dont want to eat at hotel. Beach is across the road and tours are easy to arrange at hotel..The hotel has a great relaxing atmosphere.We would definitely come back here next time.

        We were traveling with my 21 yr old and his girlfriend, our rooms that i had requested were not correct on arrival, instead of 2 x king bedroom interconecting. They had 1 x king and 1 x twin room, which we said ok to join the twin beds together, they couldnt do. Instead after some talking back and forth we managed to find agreeable rooms next to each other. All sorted in the end.

        Flipflops for walking inside the room are too small for tall men. My husband couldn't fit his feet into those shoes.

        Grand hotel avec beaucoup d'espaces de grand volumes. Propreté et entretien impeccables. Beaucoup d'activités possibles bien présentées.

        Anglais mal maîtrisé par le personnel d'accueil. Accueil minimum au comptoir, nous aurions attendu un accueil plus personnel et avec davantage de propositions pour des activités extérieures. Internet payant indigne d'un hotel de ce standing, et pour les prix pratiqués. Pas de shutlle, ce qui est également indigne d'un hotel de ce standing.
