Yellowstone National Park is the oldest national park in the world. It is in northwest USA, in the foothills of the Rockies. Over 90% of the park is in the state of Wyoming.
Is home to two thirds of all the world's geysers, as well as numerous hot springs. It has been a Biosphere Reserve since 1976 and is one of the country's most visited parks. Wooden walkways allow you to get very close to the springs of the Grand Prismatic Spring. Observe the calcium columns of Mammoth Hot Springs, the Morning Glory Pool and the many geysers, which erupt regularly. Discover the grand canyon and see the flora and fauna of the forest.
You will be able to try all kinds of sport in both winter and summer.
You will find plenty of good accommodation in the area around the park, including numerous hotels and motels in West Yellowstone and Bozerman. In Red Lodge there are pretty log cabins and guesthouses, while the area around Cody and Thermopolis adds good camping sites to the range of accommodation. Dubois and Jackson are also good places to stay.
The main resorts are in Big Sky, (especially popular for winter sports), Ennis, Red Lodge, Ucross, Burgess Junction and Dayton. Yellowstone will enchant you.
