Kauai, also known as the "Garden Isle", is the oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands.

The landscape of this mountainous island includes some impressive peaks and volcanoes that hide deep valleys and canyons with many scenic waterfalls. The smallest and northernmost island of Hawaii boasts some breathtaking spots such as the waterfall of the Wailua River, the colourful Waimea canyon and the peaceful beaches on the Na Pali coast.

Kauai is divided into 5 regions. In the north is the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, a popular place because of its lighthouse, and the nature and animals protected here. The west has some golden sand beaches, tropical forest, the stunning Waimea canyon and other culture-related places that may be of interest to visitors, such as the remains of the Polijale Hejau, a sacred temple. The south of Kauai has perfect beaches for swimming and diving. The most important point is the Spouting Horn, a natural lava formation that looks like a tube and that creates an amazing landscape. In the Lihu’e-Wailua region is the main town of the island and, not far from there, the Coconut Coast.
