Bryce Canyon is a National Park in the state of Utah, in Southeastern USA.
Its geological structure, shaped by the wind, water and ice, contains the biggest collection of hoodoos in the world. Together with the natural rock arches, these make up a spectacular landscape of red, orange and white forms.
The park takes its name from its first inhabitant, Ebenezer Bryce. It is really more like an amphitheatre than a canyon.
The highest peak is Rainbow Point, with an altitude of 2775 metres, and the lowest is Cope Canyon, at 2011 metres.
The woods and prairies of Bryce Canyon are home to numerous animal species.
The cities of Kanab and Tropic are the closest, and Zion National Park Zion is just fifty miles southeast, in the state of Colorado.
You will be able to do some hiking, horse riding, skiing and numerous other activities in the park. You can stay at a camping site where you will find a restaurant, a snack bar and some souvenir shops.
You will be also able to stay in nearby towns like Hatch, Canonville and Panguitch. Bryce Canyon will surprise you!
