Stirling is a city in Scotland.
The city is built around the castle that gave it its name. When you visit the city you will find some wonderful landscape and a rich historical heritage.
There are many places worth exploring in Stirling. Among the most interesting sights is the Wallace Monument, a huge monument built in honour of the Scottish freedom fighter William Wallace. The tower was built in the Gothic style. Undoubtedly, the most visited place in Stirling is its castle, one of the biggest in Scotland. You get great views of the city below from the castle.
Much of the castle has been rebuilt, but there are still some traces of the original structure. If you like art, you simply must visit the Smith Museum and Art Gallery, which has exhibits on the city’s history.
