    The Rusacks is only a stone's throw away from the world's most famous golf course, and offers a magnificent view of the legendary 18th green of St. Andrews Old Course. Originally opened in 1887, The Rusacks has overlooked this magnificent vista for over a century. Many golfing and rock-and-roll legends have stayed as guests here and witnessed some of the most famous moments in golfing history. Traditional comfort with breathtaking views over the legendary course and the sea beyond. There are 70 bedrooms including suites and golf view rooms. All rooms are themed around some of the world's top golfers, famous tournaments and infamous hazards like Hell's Bunker and the Valley of Sin, and are all decorated to a high standard. Free wifi is available in all public areas, meetings rooms and guest rooms. Award winning restaurateur Adrian Pieraccini has teamed up with Macdonald Rusacks Hotel, St Andrews. The first gastro pub in St Andrews, The One Under, opened in December 2009 and the new restaurant, Rocca Bar & Grill opened in February 2010. Rocca, recently awarded AA3 Rosettes, has the absolute best location and panoramic views directly over the 18th hole of the world famous Old Course and beyond towards the West sands beach.     This elegant golfing hotel lies at the heart of historic St. Andrews within a short distance of the castle, the cathedral and the theatre. There are many shopping venues as well as countless restaurants and bars to be found in the near vicinity and links to the public transport network may easily be reached on foot. The sea and nearest beach are to be found within metres of the hotel, lying just 600 m away. Edinburgh airport is just less than 90 km away. Each room is tastefully and individually furnished and come well equipped as standard. For golfers, reception will arrange to enter guests into the daily Old Course Ballot. A full Scottish Breakfast in the lovely Garden Restaurant is offered daily. Although evening meals are not available at the hotel, it is within walking distance of many excellent restaurants in the town centre.

Hotel's facilities include 2 bars and 2 restaurants and 6 conference rooms for business travellers. There are on-site parking spaces for those guests arriving by car. The welcoming rooms all come with an en suite bathroom and the expected futures. Guests may take advantage of the hotel's indoor swimming pool, sauna area and a range of diverse spa and massage procedures. Splash time for children is between 2-4 pm every day. Sports enthusiasts may participate in aerobics sessions or work out in the gym. There is also a golf course to be found in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Guests may select their continental breakfast from buffet selections. Lunch and dinner may be selected from a set menu or taken à la carte.

    St Andrews is an old city situated on the east coast of Fife, Scotland. Scotland’s oldest university, St Andrews University, is there. The ruins of St Andrews Cathedral (considered the largest in Scotland) are open to the public and you can also go to the top of St Rule’s tower to enjoy the panoramic view over the roofs of St Andrews. St Andrews is recognised as the world’s Mecca of golf. The Royal and Ancient Golf Club in St Andrews is the world authority on golf, and establishes the rules and regulations of the game. There are also other first class golf courses and many activities related to this elegant sport, such as the British Golf Museum. Another nice attraction is St Andrews Castle, which a long time ago was the scene of a siege. In an attempt to escape, the occupants of the castle dug a tunnel under the walls.
