Manchester is an important city in northwest England. It is one of Europe’s most popular university cities. It is just 25 miles from Liverpool, to which it was once linked by the world’s first passenger train, a rail link that went on to be much more extensive and modern.
We recommend visiting Picadilly Gardens – which have a famous fountain – the Gothic Cathedral, the public library, the University of Manchester and Old Trafford, the world-famous stadium at which Manchester United Play.
Shopping is a real treat in Manchester, which has everything from designer shops to the market on Tib Street, not forgetting the ever-popular Harvey Nichols. There is just so much to choose from in this city when it comes to top shops, place to eat and drink and venues for live music. It is also a Mecca for nightlife, with plenty of clubs and pubs to choose from in what many consider to be Party Central.
Lovers of the outdoors will be delighted to find parks of the quality of Heaton Park, Hollingworth Lake Country Park, Lyme Park and Tatton Park, where you can try different sports and activities.
Don’t forget to visit Chinatown to see its many shops and try its food.
Manchester offers accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. You are sure to have a really enjoyable holiday there.

Visitar Manchester
