The city of London is the capital of both England and the United Kingdom, and is one of the most important cities in the world. The river Thames divides the city in two, and numerous spectacular bridges unite its two banks.

It has many historical monuments, which you should make sure to visit, among the most impressive of which are: St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Highgate Cemetery, Westminster Abbey, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, the National Gallery, and many others. You can also call into the most famous wax museum in the world, have the exciting experience of riding on the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, the London Eye, or go for a pleasure cruise in the river below it.

Other attractions that you shouldn’t miss, include: Soho and the Chinese district, the Harrods department store, the pubs (where you wont be able to resist having a traditional beer), and the parks, which include Hyde Park, St. James Park, Regent’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
