Information about Hull

Hull is a British city, set on the banks of the River Humber.

It is an interesting place that has retained a calm and relaxed atmosphere but nonetheless has many cultural activities, businesses, shops and a great deal of nightlife.

Among its main attractions is the old trawler, the Arctic Corsair, which was built nearby at Beverley in 1965 and it was the last fishing boat of its kind to operate out of Hull. The boat is now open to the public as a museum and a tour of the trawler will take you into the city's seagoing past.

For culture lovers, Hull has an excellent gallery space called ArtLink Exchange. Located in the heart of the city, it shows an interesting variety of collections throughout the year. The Hull & East Riding Museum has some of the most fascinating natural history and archaeological displays in Great Britain. One interesting exhibit is a collection of dinosaur bones, the only ones known in East Yorkshire. There are also a number of treasures from the Middle Ages.

Hull is a city where there is something for everyone. Why not pay it a visit?
