Un poco de pasado en Glasgow
by DiAunque en los últimos tiempos la ciudad de Glasgow ha sufrido bastantes cambios y las fachadas han sido objeto de una minuciosa restauración, aún se nota en los edificios y en sus calles que Glasgow es el centro financiero y comercial de Escocia. Es por ello, que su universidad es una de las más antiguas de Escocia, desde luego, merece la pena visitarla. Tampoco te pierdas la visita a la catedral, única catedral escocesa que salió impune de la Reforma. Otra visita imprescindible es a la Kelvingrove Art Gallery, por las colecciones que alberga en su interior y para comprobar cómo han sabido combinar tradición y modernidad a la perfección. Y, por supuesto, te aconsejo dar un pase por la zona del City Merchant…. Te sorprenderán las bellas mansiones totalmente restauradas�

Por eso decidimos adentrarnos en estas tierras, comenzando desde Glasgow hacia el norte, a lo largo del Loch Lomond, atravesando Rannoch Moor y el Black Mount (Monte Negro) nos dirigimos hacia el impresionante e imponente Glencoe, un lugar para el mito, la fechoría y la magnificencia. Nos adentramos en una gran cañada a través de la montaña más alta de Gran Bretaña, Ben Nevis, rodeada por el canal y el río. Te aconsejo que no pierdas la oportunidad de pasar por la parte del Fort August que da al lago, dejando atrás las 24 millas del litoral del Lago Ness y el Castillo de Urquhart. Aquí, podrás visitar el castillo- sitio que se hizo famoso por la aparición de un monstruo- y continuar en crucero sobre las misteriosas y legendarias aguas del Loch Ness (Lago Ness). En Inverness, decidimos retomar el viaje de vuelta, atravesando Grampians y el bosque de Atholl, realizando alguna parada por el camino………. En fin, una tierra de leyendas que merece la pena visitar… los paisajes te sorprenderán�
