Saint Albans is a city in southeastern England. It is on the banks of the River Ver, on the outskirts of London.
Among its main landmarks and sights are the cathedral, the Abbey of St. Albans, the 15th century bell tower, or clock tower, and the remains of the walls of the Roman town of Verulamium, the best preserved in Britain. We recommend a visit to the Museums of St. Albans, Verulamium and the Organ.
