Bournemouth is a major coastal town located in the county of Dorset, on England's south coast.
The town has some lovely sandy beaches, seafront restaurants, pubs and a large number of shops, many in the Castlepoint Shopping Centre, a two-floor centre where you can buy any number of things or just go to spend some time.
The town's main attractions, though, are the beaches. Here you can do some of the many activities on offer: swimming, boat trips, kayaking, surfing and many more. The Dorset coast around has been declared World Heritage by UNESCO due to the great number of fossil beds and also the remarkable beauty of the scenery, with its impressive cliffs. This fantastic area is popularly known as the Jurassic Coast.
