• Two sides to Marmaris

  There are two sides to Marmaris - one very pretty and the other incredibly ugly. During the hot summer months, it’s over populated by Brits, the overweight, beer-swilling, karaoke loving kind. It’s pretty hideous, if you chose to stay there. Put down a towel on the tiny beach, and you’ll wonder if you’d ever left home, although the weather is anything but traditionally British. The sun shines pretty much constantly here. To see a different side of the resort escape into the old town to glimpse what the town used to be like. Marmaris was once a little fishing village and evidence of its quaint past can still be seen. Walk up to through the twisting streets of the old quarter up to the Suleyman castle and old Ottoman ruins. After a few minutes, you’ll wonder if you’re in the same touristy hell hole�
