Geneva is the capital of the canton of Geneva, in Switzerland. It is one of the top three cities in the world in terms of quality of life, together with Vancouver and Vienna. The city is crossed by the river Rhone and is on the banks of Lake Geneva. The area is bordered by France, and houses the headquarters of several international organisations.
It has a very picturesque landscape, as it is surrounded by mountains. Its old town Vieille Ville, is very well preserved. You can go for a ride on the tram or stroll along the pedestrian streets, go to various different parks, or culturally enrich yourself by visiting the numerous historical and modern buildings in Geneva.
See St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Treille Promenade, the Arsenal and the Reformers Wall. If you like, you can have a look at the various museums, for which you can get the necessary pass at the tourist office.
