Information about Zamora
The city of Zamora is the capital of the province of the same name in north-west Spain, closet o the Portuguese border. It is part of the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León and lie son the Banks of the Duero.
One of the city’s main draws is the Forest of Valorio, the green lungs of Zamora, and an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. Another nice place to go for a walk is the Paseo de Los Tres Árboles, a wooded area with lots of recreational facilities on the Banks of the Duero, which is good for fishing.
The city also boasts some excellent museums, some of the best of which are: the Baltasar Lobo Museum, situated in the Church of San Esteban de Zamora and the Cathedral Museum, housed in the city’s cathedral, which was completed in 1135 in Romanesque style with a Gothic entrance.
