Madrid Airport
by AlexOf all the airports in Europe, Madrid is my least favourite. Unfortunately the airport in this Spanish capital is an important hub to getting to other more exciting destinations. The shops here are largely uninteresting, plus it’s possibly the last remaining airport on the planet where people are allowed to smoke. During summer months, air conditioning here is questionable, just adding to the claustrophic feeling here. Allow enough time if you’re making a connection here. The airport is huge, and getting from one terminal to another can take ages, and mean missing your connection�
