The autonomous region of La Rioja is located in the north of the Iberian Peninsula. This Spanish region has only one province, and it is made up of a number of municipalities, the most important of which is the capital, Logroño.

Among the main points of interest is the Rioja Museum, which is located in the Espartero Palace (dating from the 18th century). The museum exhibits paintings and sculptures from different eras along with many other kinds of art objects. We also recommend a visit to the co-cathedral of Santa María de La Redonda (a 16th century building), with its impressive towers, and the Church of San Bartolomé (dating from the 13th century).

Another of the points of interest in La Rioja is the Sierra de Cebollera National Park. This well-conserved park is home to many kinds of local plants and animals. Its tree varieties include oak, beech, black pine, lime and ash. Its animals include foxes, squirrels, otters and wild boar.
