Gerona (Girona in Catalan) is a province situated in the north western part of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia (Catalunya in Catalan). The provincial capital is the city of Girona, commonly known as the city of the four rivers, seeing as four different rivers run through the city: the Ter, Güell, Galligants and Oñar.
Among Girona’s main attractions, we recommend La Força Vella, the gothic and medieval style cathedral that contains a great historical treasure known as El Tapiz de la Creación (the tapestry of creation).
