  I visited La Pineda, Costa Dorada on a £99 package tour a few years ago, and as they say, you get what you pay for. Don't expect a fantastic standard of accommodation if you're booking into anything under a four star here The resort, just up the coast from Salou is home away from home if you’re British and don’t wish to struggle with the grasping Spanish. For all those with a smattering of Spanish, don’t expect it to be tolerated either. I couldn’t utter a couple of words without being ignored and answered in English. It’s the place where English food is in as plentiful supply as the pubs. My advice: come here if you can get a cheap package deal and rent a car to explore the rest of the beautiful coastline, for an altogether more Spanish experience�
