The coastal city of Almeria is the capital of the province of the same name in the Autonomous Community of Andalucía, Spain. The city is on the Mediterranean and is surrounded by the Andarax River. The coastline in and around Almeria makes up one of the nicest regions in the whole of Spain. There are different types of beaches in Almeria, depending on where you go. To the west are the main tourist destinations, Roquetas de Mar and Agua Dulce, while lovers of nature will love the beaches of Vera, to the north. Go west and you will find Almerimar, which has golf courses and a marina, among other things.
