Sarawak is one of the two Malaysian states on the Island of Borneo. It is located in the northwest of the island and it is the country's largest state. The administrative capital is Kuching.
The region has some excellent attractions, such as the Temple of Tua Pek Kong, the oldest Chinese temple in Sarawak. You can also visit the capital's Main Bazaar, which has been here since 1864. It is an excellent spot for shopping for antiques and local crafts. Another of the city's monuments is the impressive Kuching Divisional Mosque, completed in 1968, but which is constructed on the foundations of the old mosque, which dates from 1852.
You can also visit the Round Tower, built in 1886. The reason for its construction is unknown, but one possibility is that is was provided as a fortress in the case of an emergency. The top of the tower provides some splendid views over the city.
Visit Kuching – Sarawak and you can discover a world of new experiences!
