Sardinia is a large Mediterranean island belonging to Italy, and located to the west of this country. It has a very mountainous landscape, and here you can see Europe's deepest canyon, and visit the highest point, Punta La Marmora.

In the area you can see some Nuraghi, stone monuments from the Bronze and Iron Ages. Olbia port is the place to take a boat for an excursion to the Magdalena islands, with their marvellous bays and beaches. The stones of Capo Testa make an excellent place to see the sunset.
