Hotel description Yavapai Lodge West
The hotel is very rustic and blends into its natural surrounds of tall pine forests. This cosy and historic lodge is the largest in the park and dates back to the 1920s. The lodge offers 160 rooms in total, and guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services. There is also a newspaper stand, cafe, bar, pub and restaurant. Guests arriving by car may leave their vehicle in the hotel's car park.
Room description
The guest rooms are traditional and reminiscent of a typical hunting lodge. They have vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans but are not air-conditioned. They have either two queen beds or one king-size bed, a hairdryer and a TV. Several bungalows make up the lodge, with 4 to 16 rooms per bungalow. The setting is very rustic and woody. An en suite bathroom with shower and bathtub, a direct dial telephone, radio and individually regulated heating also feature in all bungalows as standard.
Sport activities description
The lodge does not offer any sporting or entertainment options.
Meal service description
Three meals per day are served in the restaurant and snacks are available in the shop next door. A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning and set menu and à la carte options are available for lunch and dinner.

This bungalow complex is located within the Grand Canyon National Park. It is about 1 kilometre from the South Rim visitors' centre and is surrounded by pine forests. It is located next door to the Grand Canyon Marketplace, which contains a shop and post office. The lodge is about a two-hour drive from Flagstaff Arizona and about 3.5 hours from Phoenix. There is a shuttle bus just 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

How to get there
Upon entering to the National Park, follow the signs marked 'Village'. The lodge is located in the centre of the Grand Canyon Village and is easy to locate.
