Hotel description The Roxburghe

Built in 1848, the elegant and luxurious hotel is the ideal place for both holidaymakers and business travellers and ably combines tradition with modern facilities. A modern extension has been built, which ideally complements the Georgian architecture of the terrace building. Guests may treat themselves to international, British, and Scottish delicacies prepared by the famous head chef in the Melrose restaurant. On offer in the hotel are a total of 197 rooms, and facilities include a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, a safe for depositing valuables, and a cloakroom. Guests may also take advantage of the Melrose lounge and atrium, the Consort bar, the pre-function bar, the room and laundry services, the Internet access, and the George Suite for conferences and other events.
Room description

The rooms in both the modern extension and the Georgian wing are wonderfully appointed. Superb decoration, a comfortable working area with an Internet connection, an en suite bathroom, satellite TV, a direct dial telephone, an extra telephone socket, personal voicemail, a welcome tray, and a hairdryer are only a part of the room fittings. All guest rooms are non-smoking.
Sport activities description
The hotel's wide leisure offerings range from an indoor swimming pool to a sauna, solarium and steam room as well as a professional massage service, aerobics and aqua aerobics in the Vital Health Fitness and Beauty Spa.
