The hotel is housed within a magnificent heritage-listed Victorian building. It was renovated in 2006 and comprises a total of 41 rooms. Room description
All deluxe rooms were refurbished in 2006 and have an elegant and traditional style of décor. The rooms offer an en suite bathroom with shower, wireless Internet access, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing equipment, a hairdryer, alarm clock radio, a minibar, foxtel TV, and individually adjustable reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating. Furthermore, a direct dial telephone, a hi-fi system and a double bed are provided in all accommodation as standard.

The hotel has an on-site beauty treatment room offering massages (charges apply), manicures, pedicures, facials and wraps and sports enthusiasts will enjoy a work-out, free of charge, in the fully equipped professional gym (off-site). Meal service description
The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, and guests have the choice between a continental buffet breakfast or a full breakfast cooked fresh to order. Breakfast is served from 7 am and 10 am approximately, and lunch is served Sunday to Friday from midday until 2.30 pm. Dinner is served every evening from 6 pm until 10 pm.

The hotel is situated on Melbourne's leafy and peaceful St Kilda Road. It is a short 8-minute tram ride to the centre of the CBD or a 10-minute stroll to the South Bank Complex and Federation Square. Trams and buses run from outside the hotel into the city, the beach or to trendy Chapel Street. Albert Park (home of the Grand Prix) is a few metres from the hotel with its boating lake, golf course and children's park.

A taxi from the airport to the hotel door costs approximately USD 70.00.
