Reviews on the Hotel The Frangipani Langkawi Resort and Spa

This is a beautifully located property right on the beach with two lovely pools and the friendliest staff that you will find. It is an eco hotel which tries to do the right thing for the environment. Full marks to Mr Wong who owns the property for this. The rooms are spacious and well fitted including a 42 inch flat screen TV and an awesome outdoor private shower. The food in the restaurant includes organic and non organic varieties. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. We will be back again!

My only complaint was that the hotel did not provide any news channels in English.

Good location, right by the sea and the beach was very quiet. One of the best places on the Island to watch the sunset. Excellent facilites, room service, and booking taxis/ tours to get round the island. Room was very large, good value for money and clean with outdoor shower.

Food selection at breakfast could have been larger,and sometimes it was not hot by the end of breakfast service, otherwise no problems!

Beaches! Nearby there are lots of restaurants- seafood is great! Take a boat trip out to the other islands, and if you rent a car or take a taxi can do many more attractions.

Great hotel second visit and even better with an additional pool.

They should try to market the restaurant to other visitors because it is rarely busy the lack of atmosphere can put people off.

Plenty of other restaurants to choose from in the evening.

Wir waren das 5. Mal in diesem Hotel und es war wie immer sehr schön da diese Bungalowanlage sehr groß ist. So sollte jeder für sich ein ruhige Stelle zum Relaxen finden. Draußen sind viele Restaurants, Mini- Market und Roller Autovermietung

Das Frühstück ist wirklich jeden Tag das gleiche. Etwas mehr Abwechslung wäre schön.

Accueil très sympa,un petit dejeuner variés et tres bon.Les chambres sont spacieuses,tres propres et calmes. Endroit idéal pour se poser.Une piscine pour les enfants et une salée un peu à l'écart face à la mer qui permet d'être au calme. A refaire.Misza au bureau des tours est hyper serviable et tres sympa!

If the hotel is located on the beach not many people sweams cause of the jelly fishes... The water is not clear but other beaches are available around. The service at the restaurant can be long sometimes but the food is good and not so much expensive.

Is 3,5 ster zeker waard heeft potentie voor 4 sterren.

Geweldige locatie aan het strand.

Voor halve ster extra zou er iets meer aandacht moeten zijn voor de aankleding en het bed/ bad goed, deze zijn oud.

Underwater world voor kinderen geweldig

Sea View Villa ist absolut super, Freiluftdusche ein sehr schönes Erlebnis, Anlage wird ständig gepflegt,

sehr gute Essensmöglichkeiten außerhalb des Hotels, ansonsten eher ruhig.

Während unserer Reisezeit (April 2009) war dieses Hotel ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Selbst die Standardzimmer sind sehr geräumig und auch die Badezimmer sind für tropische Verhältnisse o.k. Man sollte hier aber auch keinen Luxus in den Zimmern erwarten. Alle Angestellten inkl. der Rezeption waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei diversen Fragen -> super Service und jederzeit zu empfehlen.

Guter Service, gutes Frühstücksbuffet, schöne und ruhige Lage am Strand, sehr gute Lokale in der Nähe sowie zentrale Lage zum größeren Nachbarort, interessante und gute Ansätze als so genanntes Green Hotel (Solaranlagen, Regenwasserverwendung etc.)
