General

Originally built in 1800, this rural retreat, benefiting from a multimillion pound refurbishment in 2008, has been attractively converted from farm buildings. It is nestled alongside Charlecote Manor and Charlecote Park with its deer roaming beside the meandering River Avon. In addition to a lobby with a 24-hour check-out service, facilities available to guests at this 72-room hotel include a dining room, conference facilities, Internet access, room service and a car park.

The guest rooms are furnished in a warm style offering a comfortable and well-equipped retreat at the end of the day. In addition to an en suite bathroom with a shower, bathtub and hairdryer, all rooms have the standard facilities expected, such as a TV set, hospitality tray, direct dial telephone and a double bed. Other in-room amenities include Internet access, tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board and central heating units.

This family-friendly country house is situated just 5 minutes' drive from Junction 15 off the M40 situated in the peaceful village of Charlecote, just 7 km from Stratford upon Avon and Warwick with its superb Castle. In Stratford upon Avon guests will find the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Shakespeare's Birthplace as well as Bancroft Garden, bus and train stations and a number of shops. There is a bus stop just 100 m from the hotel and guests will find a number of restaurants around 3.8 km from the conference hotel. Nearby airports include Birmingham International (38 km), Coventry (27 km), East Midlands (94 km), London Luton (125 km) and London Stansted (203 km).

How to get there

By Car: Exit the M40 at J15 and take the A429, signposted Cirencester/Stow-on-the-Wold. Drive past the village of Barford and, 2 miles out, take the right turn signposted Charlecote. The hotel is opposite the church in the village.
