Hotel description Tamarix Del Mar
The hotel was built in 2003 and renovated in 2010, carefully respecting the island's traditions, paying great attention to detail and providing all modern comforts and facilities. This small, family-friendly club resort is run with a philosophy based on the love for traditions. Passing through the wooden doors, the vaulted walkway leads to the central complex, which depicts a traditional Santorian settlement in miniature. Five traditional two-storey buildings are situated around the pool, built in accordance with the traditional island architecture, many of them domed and always in white and pale ochre colours. Facilities available to guests at the air-conditioned establishment include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe, hairdressing salon, TV lounge, a children's playground, kids' club, cafe and a bar. Guests may also hire bicycles on the premises and those arriving by car may leave their vehicle in the car park or garage. There are 25 guest rooms in total.
Room description
The colours and decor in each of the small suites are unique. They are decorated in blue or warm earth colours, all harmoniously combined to create a restful sense of comfort and warmth. The suites feature an en suite bathroom with a shower, bathtub and hairdryer. There is also a kitchenette with a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. A double bed and a spacious veranda overlooking the beautiful landscaped pool area also feature. Other in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, cable TV, radio, hi-fi stereo system, Internet access, a safe, ironing set, and individually regulated air conditioning and heating.
Sport activities description
There are two swimming pools, one outdoor and a heated indoor one, as well as a hot tub, sauna and a small gym. The suites also offer manicures, pedicures, massages and hairdressing services on request. Guests may enjoy a drink or order a light meal at the poolside snack bar amidst the scent of the flowers and soft music in the relaxing shade of the pergola. Children can enjoy their own area for playing as well as the children's pool for swimming and games in the water. Sun loungers and parasols are provided by the pool and on the sandy beach. Guests may also enjoy a game of table tennis.
Meal service description
Breakfast is served as a buffet with a large variety of tasty dishes and traditional sweets in the air-conditioned dining room or on one of the two patios. Visitors can also enjoy set menu options for lunch and dinner.

The suites are in Kamali, one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Santorini, on the eastern side of the island. Kamari is 8 km from Fira, the capital of the island, and can be reached by public transport. Guests will find shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife in the immediate vicinity, and the beach is a 2-minute walk. Panagia Episkopi is approximately a 5-minute drive and the airport is 4 km away.
