Once a derelict alcohol factory, this sophisticated waterfront hotel has remained with the same family since the original building was built in the 19th century. Voted one of the world's best new hotels by an international travel magazine, the decor is contemporary and the design uses wood, marble, steel and brick. Facilities include a waterfront terrace restaurant, Kordon Restaurant, a library (with extensive collection on Turkish art and architecture) and a nearby scheduled complimentary launch service across the Bosphorus. In addition, the hotel has an equipped meeting room, same-day laundry service (extra fee) and a babysitting service upon request (fee payable). The air-conditioned establishment comprises 20 guest rooms and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Room description
With a choice of suites or bedrooms, each with its own personality, most of the rooms have fireplaces and all have magnificent views over the Bosphorus. Furnishings are contemporary and the large en suite bathrooms have either a bathtub or shower with seating. All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, double bed, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a hi-fi and Internet access. Furthermore, a safe, minibar, air conditioning and central heating are available.

Located on the Asian side of Istanbul, the hotel enjoys a unique waterfront location on the Bosphorus, just outside the village of Çengelköy where attractive wooden houses, fish restaurants and seaside promenades can be found. In addition, there is a private tennis court close to the hotel. The hotel has an all-weather launch which can take guests to and from Kabata?, a transport hub on the European side in less than 15 minutes. There is also a scheduled ferry service from Çengelköy. Links to the public transport network are within around 300 m and the train station is some 8 km away. Sabiha Gökçen International Airport is situated approximately 35 km from the hotel.
