The hotel was built in 1989 according to the design of Philippe Starck and consists of six floors with a total of 204 rooms, including suites and lofts with large windows. The design combines architectural features ranging from the modern to Baroque. Hotel facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, currency exchange desk, cloakroom, conference room and lift access as well as a garage and car parking spaces. Dining options include a café, a popular bar featuring a unique design, lights shows and photographs from Jean Baptiste Mondino as well an exquisite and well-known air-conditioned restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. Hotel guests have the option of using the Internet access as well as the room and laundry services available. The Rum Bar is located at the edge of the restaurant and has a bar area serving over a hundred types of Rum. It is a standing bar and has a series of custom-designed high lean-on tables.

From the comfortable rooms, which are furnished and designed by Philippe Starck, guests are able to enjoy the beautiful view out over the centre of London. They come with en suite bathroom facilities with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV and Internet access. They also have a minibar, a safe and heating as well as tiling and carpeting. Guests are additionally offered an interactive light show in their rooms. The Garden Rooms include their own terrace.

Sport activities description

The hotel has its own gym open 24 hours a day, located on the 1st floor. Hotel guests are also entitled to use Gym Box which features an Olympic-size boxing ring and more than 25 punch bags, plus a large range of cardio equipment. There are also cinema screens, dedicated spinning studios and personal trainers available. The use of the gym is complimentary to the hotel's resident guests.

Meal service description

A breakfast buffet is available every morning. At midday and in the evenings meals may be selected from the sublime menu, a fusion of Asian and Latino cuisine, which is served in a sharing-style.

The hotel is located on St Martins Lane. From London Heathrow by rail, take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington railway station. Then take a taxi or take London underground Piccadilly Line to Leicester Square and take two rights onto St Martins Lane. From London Gatwick by rail, take the Gatwick Express to London Victoria railway station and then take a taxi.
