This popular hotel is located in the tourist resort of Alentejo, only a few minutes' walk from the town centre and very close to Spain. Here, guests will find shops, cafés and restaurants. Links to the public transport network can easily be reached on foot. Besides a majestic castle 600 metres away at the top of the town, Castelo de Vide has an interesting old Jewish quarter (with a preserved synagogue). It is also a great place from which to make memorable tours, such as to the National Stud (Coudelaria Real de Alter do Chão) or to the Megalithic Monuments.

How to get there

Travelling by car: From Lisbon take the A1 motorway towards Torres Novas/Abrantes A23. Then take the road to Portalegre (IP2), passing Alpalhao and then arriving in Castelo de Vide. (Total driving distance, 221 km). When travelling from the Algarve take the A2 Motorway to Evora, then take the IP2 to Portalegre and then the N521 to Castelo de Vide. When travelling from Lisbon airport take a taxi to Gare do Oriente railway station, from there take another train to Castelo de Vide.
