The fabulous hotel comprises a total of 40 rooms spread over 2 buildings. This hotel has been built in a typical Madeiran style on the exact site of an ancient sugar cane mill and some of the original features have been preserved to this very day. Facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange desk, complimentary Internet access and a lift in addition to a billiards room, a library, a cosy bar and conference facilities. Madeiran and international dishes may be taken à la carte in the restaurant and fees apply for use of the room and laundry services. There is a garage available to those arriving by car. The highly dedicated hotel staff ensure guests enjoy a very relaxing and pleasant stay.

Room description

All of the rooms are light and cosy and each feature either 1 double bed or 2 single beds. An en suite bathroom with a bidet and hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a hire safe and a balcony come as standard in each whilst individually controllable air conditioning is also available.

Sport activities description

There is a pool with a children's paddling area and a poolside snack bar to be found in the hotel grounds. Sun loungers and parasols have been laid out ready for use. It is possible to play billiards; the nearest golf course is just 12 km away.

Meal service description

Guests may select their breakfast from an ample buffet; the evening meal may be taken à la carte or chosen from a menu. Specific dietary requirements may be catered to. Half-board stays may be booked.

This pleasant hotel is located in the small town of Santa Cruz, on the south coast of Madeira. The beautiful local pebble beach as well as the wonderful palm-lined promenade with restaurants and bars is just 300 m away. There is a water park around 1.5 km from the hotel and is some 16 km to the island capital of Funchal. Links to the public transport network are to be found directly in front of the hotel and it is around 5 minutes drive to Funchal-Madeira airport.
