Renovated in 2009, this conference hotel is situated in the middle of a 63-acre mountain and beach estate. The club resort consists of 28 accommodation units, with 8 secluded villas. The air-conditioned eco hotel welcomes guests in a lobby with a 24-hour check-out service and a hotel safe, while further facilities include a hairdressing salon, TV lounge, a bar and a breakfast/dining room. Guests may also take advantage of the conference facilities, WLAN Internet access, room and laundry services, a car park and garage, as well as a bicycle hire service.
Room description
The lush Costa Rican forest envelopes the mountain and beach estate, with secluded villas, each featuring one to five bedrooms. The five-bedroom villa is made up of five separate suites each with its own bathroom and private patio. Each villa has panoramic views of the Guanacaste mountains, beaches and Bolanos Bay from private balconies and plunge pools. All villas offer all the conveniences of home with a personal chef to prepare all meals and snacks and a housekeeper. Each accommodation unit features an en suite bathroom with a shower, bathtub and hairdryer, a double or king-size bed, a kitchen with minibar, fridge, cooker, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities, and either a private balcony or terrace. Other in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a radio and hifi, Internet access, a safe, washing machine, ironing set and individually regulated air conditioning and heating.
Sport activities description
The hotel has 7 swimming pools, including a heated outdoor pool with sun terrace and sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. The on-site spa is set amidst the Costa Rican rainforest and services are provided within the privacy of each villa or in the boutique spa room. Guests can indulge in an array of massages and spa treatments to help relax and revitalise the mind, body and spirit. There is also a hot tub and sauna. Costa Rica's flavoursome Tico cuisine combines traditional flavours from Africa, India, France, China and Spain. All ingredients used in the restaurant's cooking come straight from the tropical garden or from local purveyors. Food options include Costa Rican and international cuisine, vegetarian, healthy options and a combination. The hotels pre-arrival concierge will customise each guest's food menu based on tastes and meal preferences. The full service kitchen will be pre-stocked upon arrival, and a dedicated chef available to serve delicious meals. Buffets are served for breakfast lunch and dinner, and à la carte and set menu options are also available for lunch and dinner. The hotel offers all-inclusive packages.

The club resort is located in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica near the small town of El Jobo. Playa Rajada is a white sandy beach 5 minutes from the eco hotel, which is also near Bolanos Bay. Guests will find numerous restaurants, bars and nightlife venues within a 10-minute walk of the bungalow complex. The city of Liberia and its many shops is approximately 80 km from the design hotel and nearby places of interest include Santa Rosa National Park (1 km away), the Rincon de la Vieja volcano (65 km away) and a complex with ziplines, mud baths and mineral pools (around 65 km away). The beach hotel is approximately 32 km south of Nicaragua, 60 minutes north-west of the Daniel Oduber International Airport and Juan Santamaría International airport is around 300 km away. It is 40 minutes by plane from Liberia airport to San Jose International Airport or 4 hours by car from San Jose.

How to get there
Directions from Liberia Airport to Recreo are as follows: When leaving the airport, take a left onto the highway. Stay straight until the main intersection in Liberia. There is a Jumbo supermarket on the right, and Burger King on the left. Turn left at Burger King. Stay on that road for about 45 minutes until reaching La Cruz. Upon entering La Cruz, the police station and clinic are on the right. Turn left just before the large petrol station. Take that road straight and follow the curve to the right. Pass two grocery stores next to each other on the right. Turn left at the next 4-way intersection. The La Cruz park will be on the left. Take that road straight out of town. Drive down a hill and the water is visible in the distance to the right. The road will turn into a dirt road after a few kilometres. Take the road to El Jobo. There are a few places where the road forks off but keep to the right. After reaching El Jobo drive straight into the town. Pass a red convenience store on the left. Take the next right. The road goes either straight or right; there is a small police station on the left after the turn. Take that road for about 1 kilometre out of town and the hotel will be on the right. The hotel entrance is visible with its fences, pink flowers and a wooden gate. After entering through the gate, parking is available in front of the welcome centre.
