The hotel is situated in 2 historical houses built in around 1870 and designed by the famous Dutch architect P.J.H. Cuypers, who also designed Amsterdam's central station and the Rijksmuseum (national museum). The 45-room hotel also houses a lobby with a 24-hour reception and lift access. After a day spent sightseeing guests can enjoy a relaxing drink in the hotel bar. Those wanting to discover Amsterdam on two wheels can hire bicycles from the hotel for an additional fee.

All rooms are cheerfully decorated and all offer a private bathroom with bath and/or shower, a toilet and a hairdryer. A radio alarm clock, telephone, safe and flat-screen satellite/cable TV also come as standard. Wireless internet is available for a small charge. All rooms feature central heating.

The city centre and restaurants, shops, the bus station and public transport links can all be found just some 100 m from the hotel. Bars, pubs and a disco or club can also be accessed in around 5 minutes on foot. Guests can reach the beach in around 30 minutes by car and Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport is approximately 15 km from the establishment.
