This hotel is located high up in Serra da Estrela Natural Park and enjoys magnificent views of the Zêzere River Valley. It is around 6 km from Vale Rossim Lake and 15 km from the typical historical villages and natural surroundings of Manteigas, with its restaurants, bars, public transport links, tourist centre and shops. It is about 20 km to the ski area of Torre-Serra de Estrela, 22 km to Belmonte and its castle, and 35 km to Guarda's historical centre. Gouveia is about 25 km away and offers the nearest nightspots. The beach is some 200 km away at Figueira da Foz. Porto Airport is approximately 201 km and Lisbon Airport is around 315 km.

How to get there
Those arriving by car from Lisbon should follow the A1 motorway until the exit for Entroncamento/Torres Novas/A23. Follow the A23 until the exit for Belmonte/Manteigas and then the N232 until Manteigas. Follow signs for the hotel, located 12 km later on the same road towards Gouveia - Seia which heads for the top of the Penhas Douradas Mountain. From Manteigas there is an alternative route through the Forest Road of San Sebastian. Turn left after the first sign for the hotel. Continue to the N232. Turn left and the hotel is located 2 km further on. Guests coming from Porto by car should follow the A1 motorway to the exit for Albergaria-a-Velha. Follow the A25 until the exit for Mangualde. Then take the N232 towards Gouveia and follow signs to Serra da Estrela/Manteigas. The signs to the hotel will appear after about 25 km.
