Hotel description Parador de Ubeda
The hotel is a 16th Century Renaissance Palace in the most famous square of the aristocratic and monument-filled city of Úbeda. Standing among some of the town's most beautiful buildings, the hotel used to belong to Fernando Ortega Salido, dean of the Sacred Chapel of El Salvador. Renovated in 2007, the hotel building is characterized by its two landscaped courtyards and offers 36 rooms. The hotel's façade preserves on the main door a frieze showing the coat of arms of the Fernández de Liencres family and is a clear example of the stateliness and grandeur of Vázquez de Molina square and of the town of Ubeda itself, one of the most distinguished and illustrious of Andalusia. Not for nothing did the poet Antonio Machado allude to it as the Queen and Gipsy town. Facilities include a reception area with a 24 hour service, hotel safe, moneychanger, lift service, restaurant, café, bar, TV lounge, and publicly available wireless Internet access. Room description
The en suite bedrooms, with high ceilings, offer interesting decorative details such as the carved headboards and the wooden desks. The six which overlook the square stand out and the suite, located in the opposite corner offers a wide panoramic view of Vázquez de Molina square. Rooms have direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, minibar, hairdryer, centrally regulated climate control system, and a safety deposit box.
Sport activities description
Every day a few metros from the Parador there are a guide tour at 11 am and 17 pm (winter) at 18 (summer) are walking for two hours.
Meal service description
The hotel offers guests Andalusian cuisine. Highlights from the menu include the andrajos, the morcilla en caldera con Ochios and the marinated partridge salad, the stewed kid with pine seeds, the bull's tail in red wine from La Loma and spinach Jaén style.
