This resort hotel, which opened in 2008, offers 132 suites. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby, 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facility, lift access, a bar, a number of restaurants and Internet access. A newspaper stand, games room and hairdressing salon can all be found on site. Room service (daytime), a laundry service, a cycle hire service and a crèche service in the kids' club are also provided. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car in the form of a car park and parking garage.

Room description

The hotel offers accommodation in one- and two-bedroom suites. The one-bedroom suites have twin beds, and the two-bedroom suites have a twin and a double bed. There are 4 disability-friendly suites. All ground-floor suites have direct access to the garden. An en suite bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a radio, Internet access and a washing machine, as well as a kitchen with fridge, cooker, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities, all feature. Individually regulated air conditioning, a safe and a balcony or terrace are also provided.

Sport activities description

Guests may take advantage of the special tailor-made spa packages. Facilities include a hot tub, sauna and steam room. Massage and spa treatments are subject to fees. A personal trainer is available all year round at the gym. Two heated swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor) with a children's pool, a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols also feature. Water aerobics, tennis, mountain biking and entertainment and activity programmes for both young and old are all provided for a fee. The hotel is surrounded by golf courses. The nearby beach is sandy and comes with sun loungers and parasols (both subject to fees).

Meal service description

There is a full range of restaurants to choose from, including typical Portuguese cuisine, as well as almost all international ones. For guests staying on a half-board basis, dinner may be served buffet-style or from a set menu, depending on the number of guests in the half-board category. For guests staying on a bed & breakfast basis, dinner may be offered either in the form of a buffet, from a set menu or à la carte.

The hotel is located in the heart of Quinta do Lago, surrounded by luxurious gardens. Restaurants, bars, nightlife and shops can all be found just a few kilometres away. The beach of Quinta do Lago is about 2 km away. Also in the vicinity is Ria Formosa Natural Park; with its variety of wildlife and exotic birds, it is a perfect spot for bird watching. The hotel is the perfect destination for everyone, especially for families and sport lovers. Being only 30 minutes away from Faro Airport allows for a quick transfer.

How to get there

From Faro Airport, follow the signs for Faro and Portimão along the dual carriageway. After 3 km turn north for Portimão, onto the EN125. After approximately 4 km, take the right fork, signposted Portimão. After a further 3 km, turn right just after the church in São Lourenço, following the signs to Almancil. In the centre of Almancil, turn left at the 2nd set of traffic lights. After about 500 m, take the left fork, following signs to Quinta do Lago. From the roundabout at the entrance to Quinta do Lago, follow the main artery. The entrance to the hotel is on the left-hand side at the 5th roundabout.
