This is the only original Art Deco themed hotel in South Africa, offering both classical and luxury rooms, decorated in either Art Deco or Victorian style, famous for lush gardens, and complemented by 2 swimming pools. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service at this air-conditioned establishment. Facilities include a hotel safe, a hairdressing salon, a TV lounge and a bar. There is a breakfast and dining room on the premises. Conference facilities are available to business travellers and all guests can benefit from the convenience of WLAN Internet access. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel's room and laundry services. Those arriving by car may park their vehicles in the hotel's car park or garage.
Room description
All the hotel rooms are air-conditioned and have mountain or garden views, and modern facilities such as an en suite bathroom with shower/bath and hairdryer. Rooms are furnished with double beds and amenities also include a direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio and Internet access. Tea and coffee making facilities offer added convenience. Individually regulated air conditioning and heating are standard features in all accommodation.
Sport activities description
Guests can take a refreshing dip in the hotel's outdoor saltwater swimming pool and relax on the sun terrace, which has sun loungers and parasols laid out for guests' use. The spa centre offer various massage and spa treatments, combined with sessions in the mineral bath, sauna and steam room. Fees apply to different treatments. Montagu's golf course is right by the hotel. Other sports on offer include squash, archery and horse riding.
Meal service description
Breakfast is served as a continental buffet, with the option of a full English breakfast. Lunch and dinner are served from the à la carte menu, which specialises in traditional dishes.
