The worldfamous city of Salzburg in Austria, birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, renowned for its baroque old town and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lies at the foot of the Alps next to the german border. The hotel is located in a XIV century building in the car free historic town center, next to public transports, restaurants and shopping facilities. Major points of interest, like Mozart's Residence, Mozart's Birthplace at Getreidegasse with their Museums, Mirabellgarten (Mirabell Gardens) and Castle as well as the old cities with the Salzburg Cathedral, Museums and many baroque churches and monuments are reachable in less than 10 min by feet. Hohensalzburg Castle and the hills of Unterberg, Mönchsberg and Kapuzinerberg at less than 2 km.

How to get there

From Germany on motorway A8 and motorway A10, join motorway A1, take Exit Nr 292-Salzburg-Mitte or Exit Nr 288-Salzburg-Nord and follow the Hotelroute Rot (the Red Hotel Guides) until Altstadtgarage Linzergasse. Park the car there and the hotel is about 300 m further in the pedestrial area. In public transports: IC-trains stops at Salzburg-Hauptbahnhof. From there take bus Nr 6 until Theatergasse, then change to bus Nr 4 until Hofwirt. From there the Hotel is at less than 200 m in the pedestrial area. In taxi it's about a 5 min. drive. From the airport Salzburg take buses Nr 2 or 27 until the railway station then follow the indications above.
