Renovated in 2004 this comfortable city hotel comprises a total of 46 rooms spread over 8 floors. Facilities within the air-conditioned building include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a lift, a currency exchange desk, a breakfast room and Internet access with WLAN. It is possible to take advantage of the laundry service as well as the car parking facilities.

The comfortable rooms each come with an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, an Internet connection, a minibar, a tea/coffee maker and a king-sized bed. Central heating features as standard in the carpeted rooms as well as air conditioning.

This hotel is situated some 700 m from Basel old town and the cathedral. Public transport lies right in front of the building. In addition, guests are only around 300 m from a selection of shops. How to get there

By car from the direction of Germany or Switzerland, take the motorway exit Basel-City and follow signs for Bahnhof SBB. It is situated right on the central station precinct (Centralbahnplatz), opposite the Elisabethenpark. Please follow the signs to France/EuroAirport. 30m in front of the traffic light (sign Hotels am Bahnhof) turn left and follow the right lane. The hotel is 50 m in front on right-hand side. Direction from Motorway France (A35), take the first exit after the customs and follow the street to the round about. The second exit direction Bahnhof SBB/City. Follow the street for about 3 km to the station Bahnhof SBB. At the traffic light in front of the station turn left, but follow the right lane and the sign Hotel Metropol.
