The hotel is situated in the center of town, very close to the interesting places. The hotel is clean en the staaf were very friendly.

Perfectly located

The bedroom was clean but too dark as the window was facing the inside of the hotel with a depressing view. Also it is not ideal for people scared of cockroaches!!

Excellent location, 10 minutes away from the too-touristy Gran Via but only two minutes from Plaza del Sol, La Latina and Lavapies areas. Fantastic room (405) with huge private terrace and separate living room area. Reading the reviews on here, I fail to understand any negativity. This hotel represents excellent value and in my opinion is verging on a 4* establishment rather than 3*. There are plenty of more expensive hotels in Madrid but few are as convenient, clean and as well situated as this one - we didn't take one metro journey in 5 days! Highly recommended.

We ordered a taxi from the reception to the airport as we had a early flight, but it came a private Skoda car, that was more expensive than the regular taxi...

The staff we're fantastic, very friendly and professional. A central location. the ooms were perfect for our needs and wonderfully air conditioned, which is just what we needed with 37 deg celcius outside!

Central location near the Plaza Mayor and convenient for the bars and reastuarants of the medieval area of the city. The rooms were clean and functional and fine for a weekend as they only used to sleep in, for a longer stay they would have been too basic. Staff were friendly and helpful

The hotel is looking tired but there is a refurbishment taking place and the street in which is situated is rundown but the surrounding streets are OK

Good hotel, one of the best places in the center of the city, a great number of bar, pubs, disco, shopping centers near the hotel.

We don't have bad opinions about the MEDIUM CORTEZO.

Great central location within very easy walking distance of cafes shops and most of the City Centre attractions. Friendly and helpful staff, room was very clean and the bathroom facilities were modern

only slight issue was that the room was very warm. The window just opened out a covered shaft so there was no air coming in from outside. There was air conditioning but it was noisy and, as the electricity was disabled when you were not in the room, you could not leave it switched on while you were out.
