As was the case in centuries past, Würzburg is still today a lively cultural town. It has a total of 16 museums covering a wide range of cultural topics. Two of its most important museums are the Museum im Kulturspeicher, which opened in 2002, and the Museum am Dom, which opened in 2003. The Mainfranken-Theater and the many small cabarets provide a varied programme of theatre and comedy. After the show, there are bars and restaurants galore. Just around the corner from the hotel is the Sanderstraße area, the quarter with the largest number of taverns and bars. Shops and the bus station can be found in the immediate vicinity, and the train station is about 1 km from the hotel.
