    A very enjoyable stay once again

    Offered upgrade for £20 extra to superior room which was accepted. The room was dark and dismal even with all lights on although exceptionally clean and warm.

    In superior room the water went off at 11.00 p.m. and did not come back on by morning. We were given the card for another room to go and shower in. This room was beautiful and bright and we were wishing we had been given a room like that in the first place.

    Lovely Breakfast, Great Setting!

    Hotel did not allocate a Superior Room as per my booking. The 1st room I was allocated was shabby and dirty a curry like substance had been spilt on the carpet and not cleaned up. The carpet was worn and did not appear clean. Walls, furniture and fittings were marked worn and old. The 2nd room was much the same tired and in need of a refit with furniture, walls and fittings marked chipped and tired. The toilet was falling off the wall. Malmaison is not a 4 star hotel anymore but still charges 4 star prices. I have taken these issues up with the hotel management!
