Opened in 2005, this luxury hotel comprises a total of 658 rooms of which 641 are suites and 16 are junior suites. Guests have access to the hotel gardens and terrace. This brand-new, air-conditioned resort combines luxury rooms with a top-quality all-inclusive formula where guests may also enjoy their favourite sports, exquisite gastronomy, shopping and spectacular shows. Facilities include a foyer with a reception desk, a currency exchange facility and lifts in addition to a café, a hairdressing salon, 8 bars, a nightclub, a theatre hall, a casino, a games room and 8 restaurants. Moreover, 9 conference rooms are available for use and it is possible to gain access to the Internet via WLAN (fees payable). Charges also apply for use of the room, laundry and medical services. There are 2 kids' clubs for younger guests and those arriving by car are offered car parking.
Room description
All of the suites feature an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a Jacuzzi, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, an Internet connection, a minibar stocked with soft drinks, beer and water, as well as tea and coffee making facilities, ironing equipment, a luxurious king-sized canopy bed, a ceiling fan, a sofa, individually controllable air conditioning, a terrace and a hire safe.
Sport activities description
The amenities and services at the hotel include an outdoor lagoon-sized pool, a gym and a spa with a Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish baths, shows and, on payment of additional fees, cosmetic treatments and a massage service. Water sports on offer include jet skiing (charges apply), diving (also for an additional fee), windsurfing and canoeing. Moreover, tennis, table tennis, aerobics, basketball, beach volleyball and billiards may be tried out. The Nick Price Golf Course lies around 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is located in Arena Gorda (Playa Bavaro) in the east of the Dominican Republic, close to Macao. It is just 7 km to Manati Park whilst Altos de Chavon is 32 km away. Punta Cana international airport is approximately 30 km from the hotel and it is about 1 hour by car to La Romana airport and 3.5 hours to Santo Domingo's Las Américas airport.

How to get there
From Punta Cana airport, take a right at the Veron junction. Turn right at Veron to the Cocoloco intersection. Turn left at the Colonial Punta Cana Beach intersection. Take a left and continue approximately 5 km along the road when the hotel will come into sight.
