The hotel is located right in the centre of old Istanbul, formerly Byzance. It is within walking distance of many of this world city's major attractions. Saint Sophia and the Blue Mosque are located in the immediate vicinity, while the Grand Bazaar is just a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by many historical monuments dating back to Ottoman times. The train station at Sirkeci is just 10 minutes away on public transport. It is just a 15-minute journey on public transport to Taksim, where happening nightlife and bustling bars can be found in abundance.

When we arrived we were greated by two pleasant gentlemen at reception, we were checked in quite rapidly and efficient and
shown to our room. We were even shown how to use the safe, which makes a change when other hotels just give you a card and
you have to work it out yourself. The hotel lobby itself was very clean and tidy, there is a small bar in the lobby and also
a coffee shop in the reception area too. The restaurant is on the top floor with an outside bar, the view is amazing up there,
but if you do sit outside it is advisable to take a jacket with you as it can get a bit windy!
