Room description
The retreat offers a variety of budget and first-class accommodation, including self-catering apartments. All courtyard rooms feature a private en suite bathroom, air conditioning and heating, cable TV, and an IDD telephone. Moreover, there is a minibar, fridge, tea and coffee selection, an ironing set, hairdryer, safe and a furnished deck to relax on while enjoying views of the wilderness.
Meal service description
The Nicolas Baudin restaurant and bar is open for breakfast and dinner daily. It offers indoor or al fresco dining overlooking an area where wallabies frequently graze in the evening. The dinner menu offers a selection of local produce with an international influence. All meals can be perfectly matched by the comprehensive wine list, encompassing all of the premium wine regions of Australia. The restaurant does not open for lunch, however packed lunches are available for guests wanting to head out for a day of exploring.

How to get there
Only 1.5 hours drive from the Sealink Ferry Terminal at Penneshaw or an hour's drive from the airport at Kingscote, all roads to the establishment are sealed. Follow the signs to the Flinders Chase National Park and the front entrance can be found 700 metres before the entrance to the park. It is recommended guests arrive on the island early in the day and spend the morning and early afternoon exploring the eastern end before arriving at the retreat by sunset. Please take care if driving at night, as the abundance of wildlife at the western end of Kangaroo Island can be a road hazard.
