Paying homage to its printing house past, this 222-room, 18-storey eco hotel with its inviting rooftop lounge and unobstructed sweeping views of the Hudson River on the west and the midtown Manhattan skyline facing east, makes an indelible imprint as the first upscale midtown hotel to grace the far west of Times Square. The building, built in 2010 with colossal windows, soaring ceilings and a striking, 3-storey rooftop addition by architect Carlos Zapata, underwent major transformation while still maintaining the integrity of the original structure. The air-conditioned hotel welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe and lift access, and there is an on-site restaurant and bar and conference facilities available. Room description
The hotel's guest rooms include luxurious linens, large-scale artwork, modern linear desks, an LCD flat-screen TV, safe, iron and ironing board and wireless Internet access. All guest rooms feature soaring ceilings ranging from 3.5 m - 4.5 m, stone-tiled bathrooms with oversized showers and bathtubs, textured stone accent walls, a full-length mirror, hairdryer and marble countertops. A double or king-size bed, direct dial telephone, individually regulated air conditioning and heating, and a private balcony or terrace also feature in all guest rooms as standard. Other in-room amenities include a radio, hifi, minibar and tea and coffee making facilities.
