This resort is a paradise recreated, taking an idyllic environment to another dimension. The hotel is nestled in five hectares of idyllic, romantic gardens with enormous pools, as well as hanging gardens, cascading waterways, lakes, grottos and pavilions creating a sense of complete serenity. The modern architecture has a distinctive Moorish accent, in keeping with Vilamoura's heritage. Built in 2007, it is air-conditioned and offers a total of 183 guest rooms. Facilities on offer include an entrance hall with 24-hour check-in and check-out, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, lift access, a newspaper stand and a bar. There is also a games room, a restaurant, conference facilities, WLAN Internet access (charges apply) and room and laundry services (charges apply for the latter). The hotel also offers a cycle hire service and parking for those arriving by car, including a garage. Younger guests can let off steam at the kids' club or in the playground.

Room description

All the spacious and modern guest rooms enjoy large balconies or terraces, and overlook nearby golf courses or the resort's lush gardens. The rooms are a subtle blend of light toned pastels and contemporary décor, have a distinguished, tasteful ambience and offer a very relaxing experience. The beautiful sunlit guest rooms feature a wall-to-ceiling glass wall in the bathroom, as well as exclusive, world-famous Portuguese ceramic tiles, hot tub, bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers. A direct dial telephone, high-speed Internet access, a hi-fi system, 32-inch LCD TV, cable and satellite channels, in-room movies available, radio, electronic minibar, iron and ironing board, double bed, safe and tea/coffee machine all come as standard, along with other amenities.

Sport activities description

The state-of-the-art spa is currently the largest in Portugal at over 2800 m², but it is not its size that will impress guests, it is the repertoire of health, beauty and rejuvenating spa treatments on offer (charges may apply). A total of 6 heated swimming pools are available to guests, along with a children's paddling pool. There is also a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols, a hot tub, a sauna and a gym. The on-site golf simulator, unique in Portugal, will surprise guests with its impressive virtual reality and accuracy and will definitely warm them up for the real fairways, which can be found on the very doorstep of the hotel. A programme of entertainment is provided for younger guests. In the local area guests can try banana boating, water skiing, jet skiing, diving, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, riding, cycling tennis and table tennis, all for an additional fee.

Meal service description

Experience the exotic diversity of Portugal´s colourful gastronomic repertoire at exceptional hotel restaurants and bars. Breakfast is served in the form of a buffet, while lunch and dinner can be selected from a buffet, chosen from a set menu or ordered à la carte.

Comments from hotel

The a la carte restaurant Cilantro opens seasonally. Also the Paradise Island Kids Club opens seasonally and pending on weather conditions. The poolside restaurant Aquarela and the Beach Club at Falésia Beach are only open during summer months.

How to get there

From the airport follow signs for Lisboa/Portimao/Loule for 3 km then turn right and follow the directions for Portimao Loule. Follow N125 for Almancil/Quateira, heading for Portimao/Lisboa. Take N396 for Vilamoura/Quarteira. Turn right and follow signs to Vilamoura. On reaching Vilamoura follow signs to Pinhal Golf Course. The hotel is just in front of it. HINT: when in Vilamoura, follow avenida Engenheiro Meireles until the GALP gas station, on the next roundabout turn left and turn back onto the other side of the avenue. The hotel should soon come into view.
