Dating back to 1875, the colonial-style building houses a comfortable hotel with considerable renown; its reputation is similar to that enjoyed by Raffles in Singapore or the Taj Mahal in Mumbai. All of the spacious and comfortable rooms are air-conditioned and come with an en suite bathroom with hot and cold water, a hairdryer, a telephone, a TV, background music, a minibar, a safe, and either a balcony or terrace.
